Identify window balance

Balance is 1/2 in wide and 30" from plastic tip. The metal part is 29". The back has the number 2830 and above that B.S.I. The house was built in 1987.

Welcome to SWISCO. I believe you have a 29" Series 390 channel balance with a 2830 stamp option. To verify this, measure the shoe of your balance as shown below. If it measures 1-1/8", you need the S390-29. For a 1" shoe, choose S351-29.
