Hi there!
Thank you for reaching out to us. It looks like you have a stripped operator, which means you'll need a new one. Can you open the window and show us a clear view of the arms that move the window sash?

I can't open the window to show babies of arms went to a hardware store looking for the piece to open but they told me they'd needed who the windows were by to get the piece. Can a whole new be bought or replaced

Once you unlock the window, you should be able to push it open by hand to get a view of the arms. The worm gear that came out with the handle can't be repaired or replaced, which is why a new operator assembly is necessary. We won't be able to ID your hardware without a photo of the arms, unfortunately.
