Can the In Swing 40-028 work for Right and Left

Can the 40-028 be installed on either a right or left in swinging door? The picture shows one way but the directions show the other. I am hoping the latch flips so that it can be either way.
From the outside the hinges are on the left and the handle will be on the right (obviously) :-)
Thanks.

Yes, the 40-028 in-swing storm door latch set can be flipped to be used left or right.

To verify, for an inswing door looking at it from the outside of a screened porch, will it work both for left and right hinged doors? I have 2 screen doors facing each other across a screened porch, both inswinging, with one hinged on the right and the other left. Like the original poster said, the picture shows one thing and the diagram shows another. If so, I will order based on this response. Thanks.

Maybe I'm not seeing something but the answer to my Dec 20 question above verifies the handle will work on both right and left hinged doors. Looking at the 2 handles I ordered, it appears they can only be used on left hinged doors. In the section with the lock, I don't see a way to remove the handle portion and rotate is 180 degrees so it works on a right hinged door. The only way to make them work on right hinged doors is to flip it upside down which looks odd and means each door would open different in terms of using the handle (one up, one down). Can you please explain how this should work?

Yes, unfortunately one lock will have to be installed with the lock up and the other with the lock down. However they are still operable aside from the aesthetic.
