In-swinging door handle lock

A home owner from Tn says:
The lock is easy to slide while rotating the handle to leave the house. When that happens we are locked out. I am grasping at straws by writing this to you but I was hoping you had a product or knew of a solution for a problem that has come up and will definitely happen again.

Got any idea of something I could do?

Casey from SWISCO responded:

Hello,

Based on your description of the issue, it's possible that the locking tab on your inswing handle set is worn and the spring has lost its tension. If that is the case and the specifications of your handle set match the 40-028, you can use that as a replacement.

If you're unsure if the 40-028 is the correct match, please feel free to send over photos and dimensions of your original assembly.
