Inner latch for screen door

Question

I need to replace this inner latch.

I purchased a replacement but it was the wrong size

I purchased 40-150 inside handle 1-3/4" and 40-187L square spindle

The spindle needs to be shorter and larger in diameter

What items should I be looking at?

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your handle set. Unfortunately, we do not have a larger version of the 40-187L spindle. Would it be possible to reuse your original? The 40-150 can accept both a 3/16" and 5/16" spindle, depending on whether the insert has been removed or not.

If you cannot reuse your original, then I recommend checking a local hardware store. They should have a spindle in the size you need.
