Inside Handle Part#40-150

Question

Is this part of the handle made of metal? The current one that I'm replacing is made of plastic, which is why it needs replacing.

Would your part #40-145 also work for this application? I believe this to be an EMCO Forever door, but I haven't been able to locate a manufacturer's label.

Thanks for posting. The tongue on the 40-150 is made of lexan plastic, which is a 'tougher' and more durable plastic. From what my colleagues tell me, we've never had a customer complain of its durability, so I think you'd be OK. The 40-145 has a different hole spacing and I do not believe it would work for this application.
