Inside door latch

Question

The latch was loose & fell apart. Can't figure out how to get inside mech. out. Thanks for any help.

This is quite a dilemma. Perhaps I can try to assist you in resolving this. It is possible that the stern of your thumb lever broke off and remains inside of your mortise lock. You should be able to remove their mortise lock and check. If it is, you may be able to remove it with a pair of needle nose pliers.

In the meantime, you want to start looking at replacement thumb lever such as our 82-043.
