Inside of handle says "ACTIVE"

Question

My window crank, which appears to be die-cast metal, has broken off on one side and I can no longer use the crank. It has a squarish adapter on the crank mechanism which is making it impossible to find a replacement. Not sure where to turn next. Please help.

Hello,

The metal portion shown on your operator base looks like part of the handle that has broken off. If you remove that piece, there should be a spline underneath that the new handle would attach to. If so, we'll need to see your entire operator with the window open so the arms that move the sash are fully visible. Once we identify your operator, which will tell us which handles would be compatible. Thank you.
