Install cranks on casement windows that don't already have them?

I have all wood casement windows that I assume were installed when my house was built in 1947. They don't have cranks, and it doesn't look like they ever did. Can I install cranks on them, and if so, what kind of information would I need to find the correct parts?

For a wood casement window that old, you might find it easier to install something like our 39-077 Casement Window Adjuster. Check it out and see what you think.
