I'm about to order 2 S751-25 with the 24HD option. Could you tell me if I'll have to remove the vinyl jamb liner to install the new channel balances?

Unfortunately, you do have to remove the vinyl jamb and slide balance behind the jamb to install the S751-25 sash support channel balance.

The vinyl jamb usually floats in the jamb. You would need a hammer and a chisel to remove the small wood trim first, that holds the track and sashes in place. Be careful not to damage the trim when removing it. You then should be able to remove the sashes and track so that you can replace the window balances.

Is the jamb removed from the inside or the outside? All four pieces or just the sides?
Thank you

Normally jamb liners are removed from the inside of the house. You will most likely have to remove both of the sashes to do so. I recommend that you seek help from a professional so that you don't drop or damage the sashes.
