Installation Instructions 82-055

Hello there. The 82-055 handle is held on with two Phillips head screws. You would need to remove the screws first. If you have already done that, the next step would be to pull the outside handle off. In some cases, the outside handle will fall right off; in other cases, you sometimes have to pry it off with a small screwdriver or chisel tool like the 75-026. To remove the inside handle, you will need to kind of wiggle it to get the "locking hook" out of the door. Then, you need reverse the process to get the new looking hook in the door. Hold both handles in place, and mount with screws. If you want, you can send us some photos of your handle and show us the problem you are having. We'd be glad to help.
