Does the 39-155 have any installation tips or instructions?

To connect operator to bracket (bracket will look something like this: 39-509, Stud Bracket)
Place the hole of the small link arm over the stud and then slide the clip over to secure it. If the current stud bracket still looks good then reuse the original.
