Installation instructions for 82-055K

HI, I just received item #82-055K, an Acorn keyed handle set for my sliding deck door. It does not come with any installation instructions. I don't quite get the lock part. The long thin brass part seems to be too long. Do you have any instructions?

Are you referring to the tail on the key cylinder? You can cut these down a little if you find it's too long. I recommend comparing it to the size of the original so that you know exactly what you have to do. Also refer to the video below. It features a different product, but the principle is similar.
