Installing 26-234?

Question

I purchased a tilt latch actuator #26-234. This appears to be the correct one but when I try to put it in the actuator spot it sits up about an 8th of an inch. Is there a trick to installing these.

Good question. While pushing the tip of the latch into the sash, snap in the finger lever into the opening of the latch. You should hear a click when it snaps in. If the finger lever still has a 1/8" play,it is the wrong finger lever. Did the height of the new lever legs happen to match up with the old finger lever legs?
