Installing the 86-023 to the 83-018

What is involved in attaching the 86-023 to the screen handle? Do I need to drill into the screen door handle? Do I need to chisel out a hole in the frame so that the lock slides into it?

Thank you for posting! First, I should mention that this lock only goes with an Andersen type door. If you are replacing this part on an Andersen door, all the holes should already be apparent. The 83-018 goes on the door, then the 86-023 goes on the door jamb. If your door is not Andersen, then this hardware will likely not work for you.
