Installing the 55-180 vinyl glazing

Quick Learner from Blanchard, OK
Hello, I recently ordered vinyl glazing from your company (part # 55-180). Do you recommend the corners being cut at a 45 degree angle and is any caulking necessary after installation?

Thank you,
Bill

Thanks for posting. Being that it has a square type face, I would butt cut it. Test it before you install it, though; make sure you get a tight fit in the corner. You most likely have to cut the leg that goes behind the glass, near the corner, to get the face to butt up tight.

Yes, you should use a type of caulk for a bedding for the glass to adhere the glass to the frame. I like to use a latex base caulk that it won't damage the insulated glass seal around the glass.
