Internal Tilt Latch and Release Lever

Home Owner from Hyattsville, Maryland
The plastic release lever broke off of the internal tilt latch on my vinyl tilt windows installed in 1979. The attached pictures are of the internal release latch (installed and removed) and of the release button. The hole in the middle of the tilt latch is about 1/4 inch. Do I need to replace both pieces or only the release button? I haven't been able to match up either one using the pictures on your site.

I can say that I have never seen this type of tilt latch before in my life. You may have to replace this latch with a surface mounted latch. Take a look at the video below on how this is done. Once you review it, get back to us and let us know if you have any further questions.
