Internal sash latch - looks like it's made into the upper frame

A home owner from Shenandoah Valley of VA says:
I have one of these tilt window sash locks that is broken off. I did not see any labels anywhere on the windows. I do not see any way to access it to replace it. Any idea how to get into this or what I should do? Thank you.

Thanks for contacting SWISCO. I'm afraid we don't have an exact match for this latch. To be honest, you may be better off substituting with a surface mount tilt latch. These are different than the others in that they just screw on. We have a video tutorial that shows how we do this. We find this to be an easier solution for sashes like yours. Let me know what you think!
