Is 40-214 the same as my lock?

Hi, I have a part of the door needed to be replaced. Please see the attached pic if your 40-214 is exactly the same as mine

I found an email of Dave Sr from your website: "The overall height doesn't matter so much. What's more important is the installation hole spacing, center-to-center. For the 40-214, this measurement is 6-3/4" for the mortise lock. See if your mortise lock has the same hole spacing."

I measured the "installation hole spacing" of my lock and it is 6 7/8". So I don't know if 40-214 will work for me or not

Thanks for posting. Can you confirm that you are measuring from the center of each installation hole? Based on the appearance, I am fairly confident the 40-214 is what you need.

Hi Bob,

I did measure the distance from the centers of the holes.

Again, I measured distance between two holes on the door. It is between 6 1/2 to 6 3/4.

So if I order it, if it does not fit , could I return it?

My pleasure, Wei. Do let me know how it goes. I feel confident the 40-214 is the closest option we have, but let us know how you make out, and if there's still issues with the hole spacing we'll see what we can work out.
