Is a new mortise lock required?

Good morning,
I would like to replace my existing handle set with your locking set on my brand new Pella 150 series door. I believe I know which handle set will work. My question is, do I also need to replace the mortise lock, since it is new? Or is your handle compatible?

Thanks for writing in! To confirm that the handle set your recently purchased is compatible with you existing mortise lock, I'll need to see a photo of it. It may also help to see a photo of your existing handle set.

Once I am able to see the original hardware, I'll be able to confirm their compatibility and we can move forward from there.
