I do have a delemma , the mortise is slightly larger than my opening, do you have any suggestion? Did I order the wrong part?

Thanks for posting. Looking at your picture, the 82-218 appears to be the best match. See our video below on installation. This shows you how you can install it without it dropping into the door.
