Is my thumb latch same/similar to product #82-043?

Question

Hi:

I have 2 questions.

(1) Is my thumb latch same or similar to product # 82-043?

(2) Since only the latch is loose, should I just replace the thumb latch itself? Or I must replace the whole entire system, i.e. the latch, lock and the receiver latch?

The 82-043 certainly looks like a match to me, yes. If it's just loose though then the issue may be with the mortise. You can probably reuse everything else.

A good way to test is to remove everything and test the mortise with a screwdriver. If it's still loose then you've found your culprit.

The 82-043 is compatible with the 82-037 Andersen mortise lock set.
