Is the Window Slider Limit Lock ASTM F2090 Approved?

Home Owner from North Carolina
I need to add them to existing wooden windows to pass a code inspection.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the 26-275 isn't advertised as ASTM F2090 compliant. Also, please note that it is meant to be used on a horizontal sliding window. The lever simply lifts up to allow the sash to pass.

We do offer the 26-434 that meets the requirements of ASTM F2090-08 and ASTM F2090-10 for Window Fall Prevention Devices With Emergency Escape and (Egress) Release Mechanisms. This assembly is for double-hung vertical windows.

We also offer the 26-387 that has been tested and complies with the ASTM F2090-2008 and 2010 codes when properly installed. Take a look and see if one of these options might work for your application.

does the 26-387 comply with ASTM F2090 2018 Buiding code?

Thanks

Correct, the 26-387 sash limiting device has been tested and complies with the ASTM F2090-2008 and 2010 codes when properly installed.

Is the 26-387 compatable with sliding windows (e.g. windows that open from left to right or right to left)?
Thanks.

The 26-387 is only intended to be used on hung windows. The 26-275 is the only option we carry for sliding windows.
