Is there another part that will fit?

I ordered part 26-393 - order 915237. We received the parts and installed them, but had to shave off part of the latch because it wouldn't work otherwise. I noticed on one of the old, broken pieces that 00 is on the under side. I've attached the pics. Is the piece you sent the true replacement piece or is there another option?
