It fits. Cole-Sewell 2400-2500--Complete Mortise Lockset, Brass 40-04

I have the same door and hardware as pictured above.
Original hardware was stapled "Wright" on one of the plates.

The "Complete Mortise Lockset, Brass 40-04" fit just fine.

All the important hole spacing and dimensions were an exact fit.


Only had to drill 4 new screw holes.
Two for the lower holes on the inside and outside escutcheon plates.
And two for the middle and lower holes for the door jamb plate.

Also loosened the set screw on the outside door handle to shorten the square shaft by about 1/2" to give a better fit when the inside handle was installed.

The new hardware covered all the original screw holes so no issues there.
