we have a 20 year old screen door & your item #40-214 looks like an exact match. The total height of our existing assembly is 7 1/4 inch. Please advise if your unit is comparable.

The overall height doesn't matter so much. What's more important is the installation hole spacing, center-to-center. For the 40-214, this measurement is 6-3/4" for the mortise lock. See if your mortise lock has the same hole spacing.
