This is the part that is on the side of every window pane frame that projects from the edge of the frame that when you close the window sits under the claw in the mechanism and locks the window as the crank is turned and draws the window up and in.

Looking at your photos, I believe your window is an awning window made by Keller. Take a look at the 36-016 vent pin, along with the related parts and video to assist you. Thanks for posting!
