Jalousie operator

Question

Attached are pictures of my current Jalousie Operator and the Swisco 39-346. As you can see, my current operator arm points downward and the Swisco 39-346 points upward. We cannot reverse the Swisco as the crank would lay on the right side of the operator and is obstructed by the window frame.

Suggestions? A different Swisco item?

I see what you mean. In my experience, the direction of the gear arm shouldn't matter too much. As long as you can attach the operator to the window linkage, the window should operate as normal. These jalousie operators are very forgiving in design and in terms of installation. I would give it a try just in case to see if you can get it to work.
