Jeld-wen Vynal window

Quick Learner from Fargo, ND
I recently bought my house and I have 2 identical windows that raise up and slam down. They also wiggle so I'm pretty sure a part is missing from both windows. Do you know what replacement parts I may need? Looks like new Jeld windows use block and tackle balances, but I see no clip for mine to snap into in the frame. My windows are from 1999.

Thanks for posting. I'll be honest, this is unfortunate. It looks like someone installed sliding window hardware into a window that was meant to be a hung window (i.e. opens up and down). Sliding window hardware is for windows that 'slide open' horizontally. We see this inexplicable and aggravating error every now and then in new homes. Unfortunately, this hardware will quite simply never work correctly for the window. You'll need to consult whoever supplied the window or a local hardware store for help. I imagine you might need new windows entirely. I apologize for the inconvenience, and good luck with the repair.
