Jordan Window Balances
A home owner from Millington, TN says:

I have Jordan windows in my home that have broken window balances, the windows don't stay up on their own.
The marking on the balance is 2830. The balance itself, without end pieces measures 28 15/16 or 29in. The balance and the end pieces measure 29 7/8's.
It appears it is 5/8" wide.
What can I get to replace these? I am closing on the house in 15 days and the buyer wants them fixed.
Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for posting. You either need our S351-29 or our S390-29 replacement channel balance. Before I can offer a more definite answer, I just need to know a bit more information about your bottom shoe. Please refer to the following chart and pick out your shoe from the examples provided. Keep in mind that although a fraction of an inch doesn't seem like much, it is in fact vital to the operation of your balance, and it is important to make sure your measurements are as exact as possible. This will help determine your balance Series.
If you still aren't sure, you can post a profile image of your bottom shoe and we can try to determine your Series from that. ![]() |
