KK operator

A home owner from Green Bay, WI says:
Hi, I need to replace the operators (I think that's the right name) in several of my casement windows. The center threaded bolt doesn't seem to engage the gears when you turn the crank. It just turns and even comes out completely. Also, the case that fits over the gears has pulled away and doesn't stay in place. I do see a video on your website of how to remove and replace, so if I get the right part I'll try to do it myself.

Can you help me determine what I need to order? The crank has "KK" printed on it and they were installed in the 1980s.

Thanks.

We should definitely be able to help, but we need to see a view of the operator that you're not showing here. Can you take a photo from above showing all the arms and gears that open the window? Once we see the rest of the operator, we'll give you some instructions on how to remove it.
A quick learner from Wisconsin says:
OK, attached is the entire piece including arm.
Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks for your question. Please take a look at the 39-031 and 39-032 operators. I believe these are the type of operators you are looking for. Also check out at the related parts and videos I've posted.
A quick learner from Wisconsin says:
Thanks. Not to be difficult, but they are different looking. Does that mean you think they will still work as a replacement and the original design isn't available? Also, we were hoping not to drill new holes in the window, is the footprint the same?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
I don't see any differences that would make all that much of an impact. Ours has a couple more holes, but the holes we have should line up with your four. Is there any detail in particular that you think would prevent ours from working?
A quick learner from Wisconsin says:
I guess not, maybe I'm overthinking this. Thanks for the help.
I'll order one set to start and after confirming that it's right, get the rest.

I appreciate your help.
