K&K Sliding door latch mechanism

Home Owner from Colorado Springs, CO
We have two sliding doors, one with a keyed exterior entry (IMG_1494c) and the other with only the interior latch opener (IMG_1493c). What is the part(s) we need to replace the latching mechanism (the part that hooks onto the door jam)? Do we need a different one for the door that opens with a key? Or is it the same as the door without an exterior key'd entry? The handles are in good shape and it is only the latch hooking mechanism that is worn and inoperative. The only identifying marks are the K/K engraved on the handle.
Thanks for any help!

Hi there, Eric. Are you referring to your mortise lock being the piece you need to replace? If so, you may want to consider going with something like the 82-226 or the 82-227. Let us know if either of these are compatible with what you have.

Actually looking further on your website, mortise lock with pocket trim plate, 82-229 has the proper shape and dimensions. My remaining question is: will it work with an outside door lock and key as I've shown in my picture of the closed door?
Thanks for your great help!

I do agree with your recommendation of going with the 82-229. This does look very close to your original mortise lock and this should work just fine with your handle set. Best of luck on your new part and let us know if we can be of anymore help.
