I am trying to identify the correct window latch replacement part to order for Kasson & Keller Euroquois aluminum replacement windows (circa 1999). How do I remove the broken latch? I can't figure out how to remove the plastic slide on the top of the lower sash.
Do you have instructions for maintaining these particular windows. They are more complicated from other aluminum replacement windows (different manufacturer) that are installed in the same building. The Kas/Kel window have more plastic parts covering the sash channels and also there is some sort of threaded "stop" that prevents removal of the pivot shoe (because it can't be moved to the top of the channel).
Thanks

Thanks for writing in! The part you are looking to replace is an internal tilt latch. So, if this window is like anything other, then you have to remove the top cover, which runs along the full length of the sash.
To be completely transparent Kasson and Keller is not a brand we are familiar with and we have no record of them in our database. With that said, we do really have an guides are instructions for operating their hardware.
The best possible replacement solution is to convert your window latches to surface mounted latches. Take look at the video below for an idea on how to convert your window.
I hope this helps!
