Question

I'm thinking about removing the plastic from the original metal housing I have, and purchase the 32-081 and insert inside the original metal housing.

Do you think this will work?

Is the 32-081 plastic the same thickness 32-082?

Hello! The 32-081 and 32-082 are totally identical aside from the fact that the 32-082 has a metal plate. You can absolutely reuse your old metal plate, as you suggested. I've done it myself without any issues.
