Keyed Patio Door Lock w/o Offset

Keyed lock for patio door with 3 15/16 inch holes and no offset

Hi,

I have a fairly new patio door, not sure what brand, and want to add an external keyed lock. I?d like to buy a handle set rather than potentially destroy the current handle trying to punch out for a lock. Ideally I?m looking to replace it with your 82-081 set- except that the holes are spaced one inch too far apart. 82-086 has the right distance holes but I need the turning mechanism to be centered. Is there a good option for a full set? Is there an option to just replace the exterior handle? If I do need to punch out the exterior part and add a lock, which one should I get? (The holes that would need to be punched in the exterior piece are 2 1/2 inch apart. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting. There are a few options. See our 82-044 Outside Pull w/ 3-15/16" Hole Spacing. You can adapt this pull to have a key lock with our 82-315 Key Lock & Housing. See the video below for details on installation--a different handle set is featured in this video, but the outside pull is essentially the same.

82-081 has more issues than the hole spacing.
It is made to be used on an entirely different type of mortise.
