Keyed handle please

Question

I've tried to replace the handle but the mortise hole is too small. It is 3 in and 2/16 long by one half inch

Hey there. This looks like the 82-218 or stainless steel 28-243 Mortise Lock. These are meant to be a snug fit and the replacement has to be inserted at an angle. See below.
