Keyed lock install for sliding Andersen glass door

Home Owner from Oceanside, NY
Hi,

Could you look at the images I uploaded and tell me if you make a keyed lock I could install on exterior of door that either works with existing interior latch, or I could replace both? The door closes to the left when looking at it from the outside.

Thanks
Jared

Thanks for contacting us, Jared! It looks like you have our 82-043 Andersen Tribeca Thumb latch. Does that look about right? For a keyed lock to go with it, please see our 82-316 & 82-317 Tribeca Gliding Door keyed Locks. For the mortise lock, see our 82-037 Andersen Reachout Deadlock Assembly.

Do you think these parts will work for you? Compare them to your own hardware and see what you think!

82-316 worked perfectly! Installed in under 10 minutes with no problems. Thanks so much, what a great website!

I have the same door but when outside, it slides closed to the right. There's only an interior thumb lock.
Is it possible (or difficult) to install a keyed lock for the exterior?
I'm wondering if I could install it myself. I'm pretty handy for a girl! :)

The keyed locks that correspond to this thumb latch are our 82-316 and 82-317, depending on what side it's going on. You should be able to install them without any problems, but they do come with instructions in case you need help.
