Kolbe Channel Balance (see photo with part inscription)

Looking for two replacement channel balances for a Kolbe double hung window circa 1996. The attached photo should help identify the right replacement part for this.  Thank you!

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid the stamp doesn't tell us your balance's identity so we'll need more information. Can you remove the balance and the attachments from the window and show us some photos?

Hi, attached are some more pictures. I measured the full length of the balance and it is exactly 29" from end to end.

I don't see a shoe in these new photos, unfortunately. It's likely still inside the jamb liner. We have included a video on this page that explains how to completely remove the balance.

Thank you kindly! Take a look at the specifications of the S751-29 ribbed channel balance with a 9/16" wide metal channel and see how they compare with your old balance. Note the style of the metal tab as circled below. If yours is rounded, we can't promise it will be compatible with your window.

You will also need to weigh the window sash on a scale since your old stamp doesn't match up with our spring strength options. There's a chart under the S751-29's product description that you can use as a reference for what option is best for your window sash. For new long S-clips, see the 19-030, which are sold separately.

Please let us know if you have any questions!
