Spiral balances help

Home Owner from Ohio
Our house was built in 1994. It has LP double hung windows. A few years ago the balances started breaking. Can these be fixed/replaced?

Hello,

These appear to be spiral balances for tilt windows, so we'll just need the length, diameter, and tip color to determine the exact balance that you'll need. If you can't tell what the tip color is, please weigh your sash so that we can determine which option you'll need for your balance. Thank you!

Hi, How do I measure the diameter of the spiral balance? Next were is the tip located? Weigh my sash? The bottom window?

Hi there,

To determine the diameter of your spiral balance please reference the photos I've attached below. The color tip is also shown in these photos. You will need to remove the balance from the window to be able to see the entire thing, and make the proper measurements. If you'd like you can send us over some more photos once you have removed the balance. I attached a media guide to this page that shows you how to remove the balance from your window.

Get back to us if you have any questions.
