Need to replace left window latch (end tab that holds window in door broke off). Is 91-022 comparable to 91-140 since I only need left one?

I don't believe these two latch types are compatible, no. Their dimensions are too different, specifically their thickness. I recommend carefully going over the dimensions we show for each to determine the best match.

Are there no references to Larson doors by their serial #

I'm afraid not, know. Many storm doors have been known to use generic hardware, and there is no easy reference number that tells you exactly what you have. The only way to know for sure is by comparing physical details.
