I donot have a picture of the latch as of now but this looks the same, I the problem with the old latch as when you close the screen to go outside the latch slides down and locks the screen door so you can not get back in so hopeing that this new one will stop this problem... will be ordering today or tomorrow Thank you for having this latch hard to find any where !!!!

Thanks for contacting us! If I'm understanding your description, it sounds like the screen door is locking of its own volition after you close the door. The 83-034 should not operate this way, so I think you'll be okay. If you do run into this problem, though, let us know and we can try to find a way to fix it.

I installed the latch and it worked flawlessly and I found that the old latch the little side burrs that hold the latch up were worn down letting it fall down this has solved my problem and many Thanks
