The door is a Kolbe & Kolbe Garden-Aire Patio Door, S6D, puchased in about 1995. I just bought your Mortise Lock, 4-5/8", Product Code: 82-226, because it looked like it might fit, but it doesn't. The broken lock is a little larger, and has the locking mechanism inset.

I now think the correct lock is Product Code: 82-229. Is it?

I agree, our 82-229 looks like our best match. As long as the dimensions match you should be okay.
