Latch no longer catches when lever pulled

Question

The latch to my sliding glass door no longer hooks into the catch.  In fact when the door is open the latch will not extend out from the door.  I believe this is a Swisco product but not certain.

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you need a new mortise lock. Take a look at the 82-218. Review the specifications and see if they match up with your old lock. The video below will go over how to replace it.
