Latch no longer working

Question

On the door itself, there is a latch that usually extends and catches the door jam piece and that is no longer happening. Feels like something is broken inside the door mechanism.

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you might need a new mortise lock. It looks like the 82-226, but review the dimensions to confirm.
