Latch not working on mortise sliding door

Home Owner from Cupertino, California
I think everything else still works, but last week, the lever on the handle of this sliding glass door (in the living room to the backyard) no longer was able to move the latch to lock the door, it seemed jammed in place. I think we need to replace the cartridge, but not sure.
Here are a few pictures. I had trouble locating any identifying markings beyond "Made in New Zealand", and also there's what appears to be a clock (with the numbers 1-12) and two I's as additional engravings.
The measurement between the top and bottom holes on the cartridge are about 5"3/8ths

Thanks for your post! It sounds like the issue you are having is with the mortise lock. I'm confident we can provide you with a replacement recommendation for the mortise lock you have. Although, yours appears to be missing its faceplate.

The 82-238 Double Hook Mortise Lock should work as replacement. Take a look over the specifications to determine if this will work.

Thank you Jasmine! This looks like the right measurements. I'll buy it now and give it a try.
