Latch on frame does not hook onto window to lock

A home owner from Honolulu, Hawaii says:
Latch on frame does not hook onto window hardware to lock Had contractor look at it and he said he could not fix. Thinks something is wrong with the lock.

Thanks for reaching out to us. This looks to be a very old window; if there is an issue with the lock, you may not be able to get an exact match. 

Now, I can't get a clear look at your lock from these photos, but it looks similar in design to our 38-001. Start by looking at this product to see if it matches up to your original.

As for the keeper, that appears to be a match for our 38-111. This just so happens to be compatible with the 38-001 lock.
