I sent a note yesterday regarding my need for a ballast for a Lawson window. I attached pictures and I am afraid the size might have been too big since after I hit the submit button the screen just went blank, no confirmation of sent.
Can you let me know if you got my original request? Otherwise, I will remeasure everything and send just one picture.
Thanks

Thanks for posting! I'm afraid I didn't get any images from you. You can upload them directly to this thread. Please make sure to save the file as a .jpeg. Thanks!

I have a Lawson window and need a balance for it.
The Window is 51" wide and 31" tall.
The spring in the balance is 16" long not including the hooks at each end. The balance metal frame is 30" long.
There are no markings of any kind on the balance.
I will attach three pictures this time. I have more pictures if needed. I believe the balance is missing a guide at one end. I can pull the other balance if you need a picture of it.
Thanks
Rich

Hey, Rich. I agree, it looks like the top attachment is missing from this balance. Is there any way I can see a few pictures of that part from the other balance? Thanks!

Here are pictures of the missing end piece.
Also, the aluminum channel that the spring rides in is 1/2" wide.
Hopefully you can accept zipped files.
Also, it looks like the end was damaged but you should have enough to make a match.
Thanks

Unfortunately, we cannot open up .zip files. I think you should look at either our 19-002 or 19-005. These are the most common tops for this type of balance and I would guess that it's either one of these. Carefully compare them to your hardware and let me know which is closer. We can work from there!

I unzipped them. There is a small broken piece off of one end that is pretty clearly visible in End4.jpeg.
Hope this helps. Thanks for all your help and patience.

Quick update. The balance width is closer to 9/16". I had my wife measure it previously. My mistake. :)
I sent the pictures in .jpeg, unzipped late yesterday. Hopefully, you received them okay.

Perfect, thank you.. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.
Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.
