Leaky Patio door.

Quick Learner from Anaheim
I have water leaking through old metal/glass sliding patio doors. It seems the water is coming through the old wool or rubber seal around the glass itself, rather than the weather stripping around the perimeter of the frame. I'm curious of which specific type of weather stripping I need, or if it is even called weather stripping at all. Again, if you have the metal door frame, and then the glass panes inside of it, the piece that is leaking is where the glass meets the metal. Thank you.

I need to see a photo of this part to judge how close this seal sits to the glass, and what the specific purpose of the seal is. Please show us the stripping up close.

If I understand you correctly, the water seems to hit the outside glass and seeps through the other side of the glass and down the frame. Is this correct? If so, seeing as how the doors are fairly old, I suggest using a clear bath and tub silicone seal on the glass meeting the frame. Check with a local hardware store, they should have what you need.
