Legacy handle 82-086 doesn't fit

Question

Hello, I just received my Legacy 82-086 and upon installation the retainer thread bolts won't fit in the door to secure the handle. It appears the stock mortise lock is somehow restricting the two holes that the securing screws go thru. Do I need to purchase a new mortise lock as well?

I'm not sure why you are having problems. If you did have the Legacy handle set originally, then the new handle should have fit. We would like to see some photos of your original handle and the mortise lock as well to see if we can determine why the new handle won't fit.
