I am looking for the old version (see attached pics) of the L'egance patio door (Thermal Windows and Doors) handle assembly w/ mortise.

Can you help?

Thanks for writing in. If you need a new handle set, see our 82-081. Compare the dimensions to ensure that it's a match. If you need a new mortise lock, see our 82-238. Look it over and see what you think.

I also have this door?it seems the lock is shot and I can't open the door?any ideas on how to open this door to replace the lock?

If your door is stuck in the locked position, then I'm afraid that your options are very limited. There's a fairly good chance that you'll need to cut the mortise free in order to unlock the door, which is no small project. Think of it this way: these parts are designed specifically to prevent you from unlocking it easily while it's already locked. You're effectively trying to break into your own home.

My suggestion is to contact a local locksmith or contractor who is familiar with this hardware. This isn't the kind of project you'll want to tackle without professional help.
